"What this bill does is just gives an exemption from jury duty to mothers who are breastfeeding and they, if they're seeking that exemption, then they would just have a letter or statement from their doctor or midwife saying that they are breastfeeding," the sponsor said. No further questions were raised and the subcommittee voted to send the bill to full judiciary.
