Mayor presents slate of board and commission nominees; council to vote Sept. 17

The mayor said he interviewed each candidate and praised the quality of applicants. He told the council he will return on Sept. 17 with the formal appointment items for council action. No public debate or questions were raised; the item was presented as an informational preview of forthcoming formal votes.
