The Taylor City Council approved a series of procurement and budget items on the regular agenda. The body passed resolution 6.274-24 to add $25,000 to the fire department uniform account (general fund) and approved low bids and state-bid purchases including two Graco SD series 10 cord reels for $2,700 and a 2025 Ford F-550 chassis for $70,980.
Council also amended communications and media funding not to exceed $11,400 and approved blanket purchase agreements for the inaugural animal shelter not to exceed $17,000 plus a purchase order for M.W.I. Animal Health in the amount of $8,000 funded through contractual services. Council members recorded voice votes indicating the motions carried. "Yes, the motion carried," the chair said after several of the items.
