Council members asked whether the vehicles would be taken home overnight; the chief confirmed the city has no take-home vehicle policy and that these cars would remain at the station. The council approved acceptance of the grant on a voice vote.
Staff indicated a related donation or grant could cover additional equipment (the chief mentioned a separate roughly $100,000 grant to support specialized response vehicles and equipment), and said the city would return to the council if additional approvals or purchases were required.
