Board directs engineer to contact contractor over noncompliant Hunter Subdivision sidewalks

The Board reviewed engineer correspondence about sidewalk construction in the Hunter Subdivision and identified noncompliant areas at 4th & Edwin Street and 4th & Park Street.
Chair Scott Peterson moved and the Board approved asking engineer Julie Ogden to contact REGA regarding the sidewalk issues. The Board discussed the Main Street sidewalk extension but tabled that project to a later meeting. Trustee Burklund also raised questions about how several street repairs and ADA ramp work will be packaged for bidding under the 1 & 6 Year Street Plan and will follow up with the engineer for clarification.
The motion to have Ogden contact REGA passed unanimously. The minutes show the Board is treating the identified noncompliant sections as candidate replacements and will seek contractor action before proceeding with any further sidewalk extensions.
