The North Bonneville City Council voted unanimously to appoint Norman Woods to the vacant Council seat #3 on July 14, 2026.
On a motion by Councilmember Mary Helms, seconded by Councilmember Emily Sabo, the council approved the appointment 4-0. CAO Chambers swore Woods into office; his term runs through Dec. 31, 2027. Woods had been interviewed by the council earlier in the meeting and described himself as an eight-year resident who previously owned The Hungry Sasquatch and has management and budget experience.
During his interview, Woods said he wants to focus on city infrastructure after reporting three water main breaks on his street. "It is an honor and privilege to serve on the Council," Woods said after taking the oath. The appointment filled the council's previously vacant seat #3 and followed an executive session held under RCW 42.30.110.
