New plaque estimated at $5,000 to correct misspelling on Westbrook Place mural

Jim Crawford told the joint meeting that the misspelled plaque accompanying the Westbrook Place mural cannot be corrected by re‑engraving and must be replaced. He reported a replacement plaque would cost about $5,000 and that he would meet with Signs Plus Graphix in Deep River to discuss alternatives.
"The only way to correct the misspellings on the plaque is to create a new plaque, which would cost $5,000.00," Crawford said. The commission did not authorize funds at the April 9 meeting; members discussed vendor options and asked staff to return with cost comparisons if a purchase is proposed.
