Resident asks Selectboard to place divestment resolution and library appropriation on Town Meeting warning

During the Dec. 2 meeting a resident asked the Weybridge Selectboard to place two articles on the March Town Meeting warning: a binding resolution calling for divestment of town funds related to Palestine (similar to a request presented last year) and an appropriation for the Ilsley Library for FY2026–27. The Selectboard recorded the request; no action to place the items on the warning was taken at the meeting.
Board members noted the request and will consider whether the articles meet warning and legal requirements for inclusion. If the board puts either item on the official Town Meeting warning, the town will need to prepare warrant language and any required explanatory materials for voters.
