The Weybridge Selectboard on Dec. 2 reviewed highway equipment updates and two major repair estimates for local roads. Parent Construction provided an $88,000 estimate to repair deteriorated wing walls and curb concrete on the Prunier Road bridge. Officials also discussed a proposal to fix drainage on Otter Creek Lane estimated at $234,667.
Board members noted recent equipment activity: a new 1-ton vehicle is at ACA for installation of warning lights, the town’s purchased grader has arrived, and seasonal mowing equipment is now in winter storage. Public works staff member Luke reported having cleared guard rails this season. Selectboard member Matt Broughton said he would research whether direct purchase of drainage piping could lower the Otter Creek Lane repair cost.
The estimates were presented as preliminary figures for budgeting ahead of Town Meeting; the board did not vote on funding at the Dec. 2 meeting. The highway items will inform capital and operating discussions as the Selectboard and staff finalize the FY2026–27 budget and Town Meeting warning.
