Council presses developer on wildlife corridor, wash and road connectivity for Corrigan/Deer Run concepts

Council members highlighted four issues that must be resolved: (1) wildlife‑corridor protection and coordination with wildlife partners (the council suggested the Wildlife Alliance be engaged); (2) whether the wash should remain privately owned, be dedicated to the city, or be treated as protected open space; (3) road connectivity and whether adjacent parcels must build half‑width improvements or the developer must provide alternate connections; and (4) potential lot count and density changes if lots are removed for corridor protection. Staff and the developer agreed to meet with two council members at a time for deeper technical review, to involve outside biologists if necessary, and to return with a refined concept that addresses wash management and connectivity.
