Town reports progress on watermain replacement; 8-inch main break repaired

Town Superintendent Matt reported that the watermain replacement project is moving along, with almost all alleys between South Cle Elum Way and Sixth Street having the new mainline installed. He said services will be hooked up after pressure testing and bacterial samples clear.
Matt also reported an 8-inch main blowout at Gobbler’s Knob Road and Westside that occurred at about 2:00 A.M. Friday and was repaired around 2:00 P.M. The council noted that residents will receive notification before planned water outages related to service connections and testing.
