The Big Stone County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the minutes of its Feb. 3 meeting and the Feb. 17 agenda, then authorized payment of $97,746.79 in claims, Auditor-Treasurer Michelle Knutson reported.
The claims list included payments such as Apex Engineering Group for $15,211.50 and Guardian Fleet Safety for $26,533.89; 49 payments under $2,000 totaled $19,995.83. Commissioner Athey moved to authorize payment of claims; Commissioner Klages seconded and the motion carried unanimously with five commissioners present.
During the meeting the board also approved a Family Services host-county contract with McLeod County and a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Ortonville for the CSAH 35 reconstruction project. Following a Highway Department update, Commissioner Thyne moved to adjourn; Commissioner Radermacher seconded and the board adjourned at 9:03 AM.
