The board adopted a resolution designating the bulletin board inside the west entrance vestibule of the Jones County Courthouse as the place to post meeting notices from July 7, 2026 through January 4, 2027 to comply with the amended Iowa Open Meetings statute. The resolution specifies that the Auditor will post meeting agendas at least one full business day before meetings.
Separately the board approved multiple administrative items: FY27 tenant lease agreements for office space at Broadway Place Annex (recorded as items [2026-082, 2026-083, 2026-084]), moved to void claim #2605-0004 (check #201198) in the amount of $454.87 payable to Arnold Motor Supply after the vendor reported the check was lost or never received, and approved a change in property and liability insurance deductibles with EMC Insurance from $2,500 to $10,000 effective July 1, 2026. All motions were adopted on unanimous votes recorded in the minutes.
