Mayor, council highlight Shopwith-a-Cop, public-works work and community events

Mayor Peter Sharp recognized agencies and individuals who participated in the December Shopwith-a-Cop event and said "Certificates were presented to WSP, City of Ephrata, Trooper Erwin, Officer Geates, Officer Leenhouts, Cadet Bias and Administrative Assistant Siebert." He also outlined Public Works activities including signage replacement, tree trimming, graffiti removal, water-line testing, adding gravel to streets and beach cleanup.
Councilmember Carson announced ABATE will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt on April 12. Mayor Sharp said the AWC helped identify grant monies to pay half the city's Lexipol fee for the police department's policy review and training. The council recorded these community updates during the mayor's message and comments section of the agenda.
