Jeff Kilberg, the county’s maintenance supervisor, presented estimates for sidewalk replacement along the south side of the courthouse and for the parking-lot entry where runoff and rebar exposure have caused deterioration. Kilberg recommended the low bidder; after a motion and second the board approved awarding the contract. The chair read the contract amount into the record as $10,336.50 and the motion carried.
Board members clarified that the city's curb-and-gutter work is separate and will be paid on top of the county contract. Kilberg said the senior-center and other repair projects remain on hold pending adjuster action, and he said he will contact the adjuster to push payment and timelines for outstanding work. The county will proceed with the sidewalk work under the approved contract.
