The Jackson County Board was told April 7 that the bridge on 362nd Avenue (known as Z 15 or Springbrook Highway between Valley and Springbrook) will close for replacement starting the next day and remain closed for approximately four months. "The bridge on 362nd Avenue, aka Z 15, will be closed for replacement starting tomorrow, and it'll last approximately 4 months," County Engineer Jayden Shekel said; detour‑route signage was expected to be installed that day.
Shekel also provided a broader construction update on a related bridge project: contractors planned to pour the north pier cap and were working on the south pier coffer dam; some embankment and compaction work is paused because recent rains made dirt too wet to compact but work on other bridge components continues. The board was told staff will monitor progress and adjust timelines if weather delays compaction and seeding.
