Council approves amendment limiting stays and adding seasonal exception at Riverside RV Park

The South Weber City Council on Jan. 28 approved Amended Resolution 24-36, the second amendment to the Riverside RV Park development agreement.
The amendment reiterates a 120-consecutive-day "Maximum Stay Period" for patrons and adds Section 15.1.1, a seasonal exception to the required seven-day leave period. The text in the amendment states: "Developer shall not permit patrons to stay at the RV Park for more than one hundred twenty (120) consecutive days (the 'Maximum Stay Period'). ... The requirement for a mandatory Leave Period shall not apply from December 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025, or from December 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026." Councilman Wayne Winsor moved to approve the amendment; Councilman Blair Halverson seconded and the resolution passed by roll call vote.
Council discussion at the Dec. 10, 2024 meeting informed the amendment language; staff (City Manager David Larson, City Attorney Jayme Blakesley, and Community Development Manager Lance Evans) worked with the property owner to draft the presented version.
