The council approved Resolution 25-04 authorizing an agreement with ARW Engineering (with Wasatch Civil for structural engineering) to design repairs to the Public Works auto service pit.
John Anderson described the pit as a facility hazard that the city has been tracking for several years and said the engineering agreement will produce design documents needed to solicit construction bids. "This has been I have showed you several times the last few years... we are finally at a point where we can move forward," Anderson said. Staff indicated design delivery would be complete by late March or no later than May 31, after which the city will advertise the repair contract.
Councilmembers endorsed moving ahead. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote; staff will return with contract documents for the construction phase following final design.
