Resident urges upgrades at Meadows Park and proposes bicycle pump track

During public comment, Jeram Erickson said he has lived in South Ogden for most of his life and urged the council to focus attention on Meadows Park, where playground equipment is aging.
"The equipment there is is aging, and you know, it's it's showing its age," Erickson said, and he asked the council to push future work on that facility. He also praised the city's skate park and proposed the council investigate installing a bicycle pump track—noting both dirt and paved options used by neighboring cities and tradeoffs between lower construction cost and higher maintenance.
Council and staff responded that Meadows Park is included in a master plan and that grant applications and master-plan work are in progress; staff said the park would receive attention in coming years. The mayor and council thanked Erickson for the suggestion and noted staff had discussed other bicycle facilities and mountain-biking options in the past.
