Council approves minutes, hears mayor updates on school fencing, dog licensing and irrigation-share bids

The council approved the Oct. 24, 2024 minutes after a motion from Council Member Rex Christensen and a second from Council Member Jacob Bodily; the motion carried. Later, Council Member Jacob Bodily moved to adjourn; Council Member Jordan Hulsey seconded and the motion carried.
Mayor Travis Mote reported a dialogue with the school district about fencing around school property and potential impacts on nearby public infrastructure such as the Golden Mile and its sprinkler systems. He questioned whether dog licensing remains cost-effective and said he would post a Facebook survey to gauge public response. Mayor Mote also stated, "We need to advertise the irrigation shares the city has by January 1, 2025. Bids will be due by the 10th of January."
