Other community items included the Central Creek Farmers Market schedule (every other Wednesday), Veterans banners to be displayed at John McCants Veterans Park in November, the Fire Department's Shave Away Childhood Cancer event on Sept. 14 at Stone's Throw Brewery to benefit Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital, and the police department's National Night Out scheduled for next Tuesday. The mayor encouraged residents to sign up for the city newsletter and follow city social channels for updates.
