The Marshall County Board of Supervisors on March 25 set a public hearing for April 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. to consider a petition by Russell Fitzwater to vacate the alley in Block 6 of the Town of Quarry.
Sara Badger, Assistant Auditor/Recorder (Real Estate), said the petition has been completed and the next step is the public hearing; the board authorized the county auditor to publish the hearing notice. Members voted to set the date and location during the meeting. The hearing will be held in the Marshall County Courthouse, Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, 1 E. Main St., Marshalltown.
