The adopted policy sets an allocation of 1.018 acre-feet of water rights per acre across undeveloped land in Willard City. Council discussed the policy’s application, noting that denser development will require developers to bring additional water rights to match higher demand. Council Member Jacob Bodily moved to approve the CFP amendment; Council Member Mike Braegger seconded and the motion passed unanimously in roll-call vote.
The change will be reflected in the city’s CFP documents, and staff will use the new allocation standard when reviewing subdivision and development proposals going forward.
