The planning commission reported ongoing work on an amendment to accessory dwelling unit (ADU) regulations and a review of planned unit development (PUD) criteria, Commissioner Chad Braegger said. Braegger told the council the commission is focusing on PUD standards while drafting the ADU amendment and urged better alignment of land-use maps to support annexation efforts in South Willard.
Madison Brown, city planner, supported coordinating land-use planning to accommodate anticipated annexation and to “align future land-use maps for South Willard,” the commission told the council. The planning commission’s comments aim to ensure zoning rules and PUD criteria support planned growth; no ordinance text was finalized at the meeting and council action was not taken.
