Marshall County’s Board of Supervisors opened its March 25 meeting with employee service awards, recognizing Melanie Ewalt for 40 years in the county’s GIS department and Curtis Cecak for five years as a patrol deputy in the sheriff’s office.
James Nehring, Marshall County CIO, thanked Ewalt for her decades of service and expertise in real estate matters. Ewalt responded, “I cannot believe it has been 40 years,” and spoke about the friendships and memories she has gained during her tenure. The board’s recognition was part of routine opening business and carried no formal action beyond public acknowledgment.
