Community Development Manager Lance Evans reported that he attended the American Planning Association conference and said the Legislature is working on items affecting cities and towns. Staff also circulated a survey to solicit resident input on gravel pits.
Commissioner Gary Boatright suggested streamlining outreach: “if the city sends out a survey for general plan input, there should only be one survey,” he said, urging coordination so residents are not asked multiple times for similar feedback. The commission noted the next Planning Commission meeting will be Dec. 12, 2024.
