On a related budget matter, Clerk/Treasurer Anne Hathaway and staff presented a customary additional-appropriation resolution (2026-21) driven largely by higher insurance renewal costs and a $130,000 request for a sound wall at the pickleball courts; the packet also included $278,000 in total additional appropriations that would be filed with the Department of Local Government Finance if approved. "So for a total of $278,000," Hathaway said while summarizing the items. Council opened the public hearing, heard a resident in support of the sound wall, and approved the appropriations by motion and voice vote.
