The Skamania School District Board of Directors unanimously adopted Policy 4310, titled “District Relationships with Law Enforcement and other Governmental Agencies,” on second reading during its April 16, 2025, meeting. Angus Anderson moved to adopt the policy; Lisa Young seconded and the motion passed with no further discussion.
Superintendent Milt Dennison discussed the policy as part of unfinished business and also updated the board on an outstanding director vacancy, noting the district had not received any applications. Donald Collins asked Angus Anderson if he would remain in the seat temporarily; Angus agreed but said he does not intend to run for another term and recommended the district reach out to PTO members who live in the district. The meeting record shows the adoption vote immediately followed the policy reading and passed unanimously.
