The Lower Allen Township Board of Commissioners approved a package of human‑resources items at the July 27 meeting, including a new job description for a planning technician, a personnel status change, a reclassification and acceptance of a resignation.
Human Resources Director Khan presented the planning technician job description, noting the township had an employee performing the duties without a formal description; the board moved and approved the description. Khan also presented a motion to change Matthew Schmidt (an EMS/PSO hybrid) from probationary to regular full‑time status effective 10/07/2025; the board approved that motion. Khan then reported Anthony Hentz met benchmarks for reclassification from AEMT in EMS to EMS PSO within Fire and Rescue Services, and the board approved that reclassification effective 07/27/2026.
The board accepted the resignation of Cody Johnston (maintenance specialist, Public Works), effective 07/28/2026, and authorized staff to advertise for the vacancy. Commissioners indicated these items were routine housekeeping intended to align job descriptions and personnel records with current practice.
