Commission seeks members for 'Art at Every Turn' selection panel as Phase 2 begins

Staff told the commission that Phase 2 of the "Art at Every Turn" program is launching and that funding for the project is provided by Neighborhood Vitality.
"We will be asking for someone from the Arts Commission to help be on the panel to pick some new artists," a presenter said, noting selection work likely will occur in February. Commissioners agreed that a panel helps diversify opinions when choosing artists and that including commissioners, parks staff and city staff produces varied perspectives.
No formal vote was taken; staff will follow up with requests for volunteers and scheduling information.
