Teresa Clapper, who prepared the attendance and revenue figures, told the Cultural Arts Commission the report covers the opening quarter of fiscal year 2025–26 (Oct. 1–Dec. 31).
"We're starting over into a new fiscal year now," Clapper said, and noted that the numbers include six sold‑out Dallas Ballet shows and strong sales for the holiday production "Tuna Christmas." She also referenced a sold‑out appearance by Gary Morris. The commission discussed that some events — including dance recitals and community productions — continue to be reliable users of the Granville Arts Center.
Commissioners asked for context on programming that drives attendance. One commissioner noted Right Wing Performing Arts staged The Lion King in November and that local dance recitals remain regular draws. The discussion did not include detailed revenue breakdowns or per‑show attendance figures; staff indicated the report covers the first three months of the fiscal year and that more detailed budgets will follow.
The commission took no formal vote on budget reallocations during the meeting; staff will incorporate the quarter's results into later budget discussions and return with any recommended adjustments.
