Hope Wesleyan Church marks 100 years and presents Bibles to council

Pastor Bob Solon of Hope Wesleyan Church addressed the council on July 27 to mark the congregation’s 100th year of ministry in the community and to thank city leaders for their service. Solon said the church’s work includes supporting schools, first responders, volunteers and families and emphasized the congregation’s desire to "love God, love our neighbors" and help the community thrive.
As a small expression of thanks, Solon presented a Bible to each council member. "We just wanna come alongside of you and say thank you," Solon said, adding that church leaders and volunteers pray for elected officials and the community. The council accepted the presentation and members thanked the pastor and church representatives.
