Students and nonprofit deliver hydration drive for Homewood firefighters

Zoe Bridal, vice president of All The Same Alabama and a student at Enterprise High School, told the Homewood City Council the group has organized a hydration drive for the Homewood Fire Department and other departments across the state. “My name is Zoe Bridal, and I'm a student at Enterprise High School where I serve as the vice president of All the Same Alabama,” Bridal said, and described past drives for school supplies and hygiene items.
Bridal said the group's partner, Project Pulmonary, founded by Bettina Lee, focuses on firefighter health and that the two groups will deliver water and supplies to first responders. “By the conclusion of this drive, we'll have donated almost 10,000 water bottles and other hydration supplies,” Bridal said. Mayor Andrews thanked the volunteers and noted they would visit Station 1 to unload supplies and take a photo with the department’s apparatus.
The presentation was offered at the start of the July 27 meeting; council did not take any formal action on the presentation itself but acknowledged the donation and encouraged staff to coordinate a station visit.
