Planning staff outlined recent municipal code changes that make concept-plan review consistent across historic and planned-district contexts and expand the list of minor items staff may approve administratively. Staff said the change means a concept plan, regardless of district, “is a less formal application and does not have to go to council either.”
Staff asked commissioners for feedback on how the changes have worked in practice and invited comments about presentation formats and any items that might need revisiting. Commissioners were encouraged to share experiences at the upcoming joint session and to identify successes and challenges with the new procedures.
