Alameda County Library to launch limited-edition co-branded card with Golden State Warriors

The Alameda County Library and the Golden State Warriors will launch a co-branded library card beginning Sept. 18, county library officials told the Board of Supervisors on Sept. 17. The limited-edition cards will be available at county libraries and are active on issuance.
“We currently have close to 250,000 active cardholders in our county,” Alameda County librarian Deb Saika said, announcing the partnership and inviting the public to a kickoff event at REACH Ashland Youth Center. Saika described the cards as an outreach tool designed to broaden library engagement and noted there is no residency requirement for the welcome cards being distributed at the launch.
County officials presented the proclamation recognizing Library Card Sign-Up Month and invited the board and library staff to take a photo with the outreach team. Library staff said the co-branded program is an experimental outreach model intended to expand access and community engagement.
