The Huber Heights Board of Zoning Appeals convened on June 3, reviewed two variance applications and approved both by unanimous 5–0 votes.
The first approval, BZA case 2604, permits a rear-yard encroachment to allow a conditioned rear-room addition at 7049 Sander View Drive. City staff recommended approval and the applicant, Greg Bridal, said the expanded room is needed because the existing enclosed patio is uncomfortable in winter and summer. The second approval, BZA case 2605, allows an attached garage to be built within 10 feet of the east property line at 9070 Taylor's View Road; staff again reported no objections and a neighbor, Carl Rickard, spoke in favor.
The board read the required variance criteria for each application and recorded members' votes on roll call; both cases passed 5–0. The Chair told applicants to follow up with city staff about permitting. The board set its next meetings for July 1 and August 5 and then adjourned.
