Council approved a resolution to include the Rose Music Center among city-owned locations potentially eligible for upgraded Level 3 electric-vehicle chargers under a federal RIDE grant. City Manager John Russell said the measure would authorize the city to include the site in the grant application and, if awarded, replace existing Level 2 chargers; those displaced level 2 chargers would be relocated to other city properties.
During discussion, a councilmember asked about upgrade costs. Staff said a Level 3 charger from the supplier used for past Level 2 units is about $55,000 installed per unit (two plugs typically per charger), and the grant amount and exact number of chargers were still to be determined. The council adopted the resolution by roll call, 8–0.
