Stansbury Park Improvement District unanimously approved its required 2025 municipal wastewater planning program survey at the March 17 meeting.
District Manager Brent Palmer described the survey as a planning document addressing finances, operation and maintenance, impact fees and capital improvements over 10, 15 and 20-year horizons. Staff told the board the district has about 45 miles of sewer collection pipe and estimated full replacement at approximately $114,000,000, emphasizing that any replacement would be staged rather than immediate.
Board members and staff discussed rehabilitation methods the district has used or considered, including slip-lining and cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) with ultraviolet curing or steam-cured liners for sensitive sections under lakes. Palmer said the district plans to resume slip-lining next year as finances allow. A motion to approve the survey passed unanimously.
Board members also asked for clearer presentation of financials and contingency planning for maintenance so the board can track repair and replacement funding over time.
