Staff reviewed capital projects included in the tentative budget: $60,000 for three monitoring wells at the lagoons, funds to crack-seal and restripe the district parking lot, $20,000 set aside for a storm-drain issue at 25 Lakeview pending legal and insurance review, $500,000 allocated to raising the grade and rebuilding the pump house at Well 3, and $600,000 (to be paid from impact fees) to replace the district's 12-inch sewer line on Lanyard Lane. "I'll make a motion to approve the 2026 tentative budget of, total expense, sum of $5,636,864, a total income amount of $11,140,007 even," a board member stated when making the motion to adopt the tentative budget.
The board discussed carryover items such as finishing landscaping at Well 5 and a potential four-acre office site near the gravel pit; staff said those items will be considered within the budget process and in future meetings. The tentative budget passed by voice vote; the board will return to the budget during the formal adoption process and any hearings required by statute.
