At the March 3 meeting, Traill County WRD engineer Nathan Trosen said Civil Specialties, Inc. continues to remove trees along North Mayville Drain No. 8. Trosen summarized preliminary results from a hydraulic model assessing the impacts of installing intercept culverts with flap gates; the model indicated minimal change to water elevations, but he said results are under final review and more information will be presented at a future meeting.
The board took the report as an update; no motion or vote was recorded on changes to the drain at this session. Board members and staff plan to revisit the model results once the final review is complete.
