Traill County WRD approves routine financial items, redeems 11 maturing CDs

The Traill County Water Resource District approved routine housekeeping and financial measures at its March 3 meeting in Hillsboro. Manager Jason Lovas moved to approve the agenda as amended and Manager Joel Halvorson seconded; the motion carried by unanimous roll call. Manager Gary Thompson later moved to approve the minutes of the Feb. 17 meeting, which the board also approved unanimously.
The board approved payment of bills and electronic fund transfers as presented in the check detail report and accepted the February bank statements and general journal entries. Manager Andy Neset moved to approve those items; Manager Halvorson seconded and the motions passed by unanimous roll call. On financial management, Manager Lovas moved to redeem 11 certificates of deposit at Dakota Heritage Bank at their maturity dates and deposit the proceeds into the general checking account; Manager Andy Neset seconded and the board carried the motion unanimously. The board noted a full financial report will be available for review at its March 17 meeting.
