Council members voted May 20 to add to the May regular agenda a discussion about the June meeting date after Chairman Houston noted the scheduled June meeting coincides with primary elections.
Councilman Daniel Alexander moved to place the item on the May regular council agenda, seconded by Councilman J.J. Cruz; the motion carried. The council then approved an amended agenda to include the discussion. Attorney Kim Wunder advised that public hearings had already been noted for June 9 and recommended the meeting remain on that date.
Council discussed holding the June meeting on Thursday, June 11 as an alternate but did not make a final change; Administrator Riley will present the budget at the June 9 meeting as planned.
