Hutto EDC approves several project steps after executive session: $140K EDPA, RFPs, signal funding and demolition direction

After recessing to executive session, the Hutto Economic Development Corporation reconvened and took a series of actions on projects and negotiations.
The board moved to draft an economic‑development performance agreement (EDPA) for Project 107 East Street for an amount not to exceed $140,000; the motion passed unanimously. The board also authorized staff to issue an RFP to Bootsybill for a right‑of‑way optimization project, directed staff to draft a letter of recommendation to city council regarding the State Highway 130 frontage road improvements from Lemur Loop to US‑79, and approved a directive to pursue an AFA for an EDC‑funded traffic signal at County Road 132 and US‑79 in an amount not to exceed $500,000.
Separately, the board directed staff to bring back a full‑demolition contract for 107 Main Street, approved engaging a mediation consultant to work with ESD 3, and directed legal to engage a consultant related to Hutto Fire Station No. 1. The board also appointed an ad hoc committee and directed legal and staff to promote an election to update alcohol zoning in JP 4. All motions referenced here passed on recorded voice votes, generally 5–0.
