EDC director: Pecan Street design on track for Jan. 31, 2027; Fire Station No. 1 survey to start soon

On the planned Hutto Fire Station No. 1, the director said the complete schematic concept design has been received and that staff has ordered a property survey that should begin within two weeks. The director also summarized outreach and partnership activity — including the Williamson County Economic Development Partnership champions luncheon on Aug. 13 and a LinkedIn networking event in downtown Hutto this week — and encouraged board members to use those events for regional engagement.
The board received the report without objection and moved on to the meeting’s consent and action items. The Executive Director closed by noting staff will continue to provide CIP-style updates at future meetings as projects advance.
