Sheriff Whiteford urges weekly payment runs to avoid late bills that affect dispatch IT

Whiteford also raised concern about Dell invoices, saying late payments have “hold up[ed] dispatch/general IT needs,” and urged faster processing so essential public-safety technology and dispatch support are not disrupted. County Administrator David Schaeffer and County Clerk Deborah Hill discussed existing options to address payment timing, including purchase order processes and an advance-pay voucher that the committee has previously approved.
The committee did not adopt a change on the spot; the bills and payment options were slated for further review during the ongoing bills review and at the committee meeting scheduled for March 12, 2025. The meeting record shows no budget amendments were proposed during this session.
