Renville County approves purchase of JD 670G motorgrader from RDO Equipment

Renville County commissioners approved the low bid from RDO Equipment, $243,500, to purchase a John Deere 670G motorgrader at the Dec. 2 meeting. Bids were opened at the meeting; Butler Machinery had bid $254,000. The minutes record that the board voted unanimously to accept RDO's bid.
The minutes also note a trade allowance of $130,000 from RDO Equipment for the county's 2019 JD 770G motorgrader. Road Supervisor Sean Mattern reported that motorgrader wings had been reinstalled and that the plow truck had been repaired; the purchase will replace or supplement the county's grader fleet.
"Moved by Comm. Haman, second by Comm. Hansen to approve the bid from RDO Equipment for a JD 670G motorgrader," the minutes state. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
