Vernon County supervisors adopted Resolution 2023-66 to set employee health and life insurance plans for 2024. Admin Coordinator Cassandra Hanan told the Board the county solicited bids and selected Quartz for health coverage; premiums are expected to increase by about 5 percent. The county will continue its partnership with Neighborhood Family Clinic and will move life insurance to the Hartford Group. Dental and vision coverage will shift to Delta Dental and Delta Vision.
The resolution included a projected fiscal impact figure (including Neighborhood Family Clinic, employer HSA contributions, life insurance and the employee assistance program) of $3,694,006.76; the memo noted actual premium cost is based on census. The Board adopted the resolution on a unanimous voice vote.
