City staff told the CCRB they will return with more detailed procedures and draft forms to operationalize the board.
Aaron Sorrell said he aims to have draft processes ready within "2.5 to 3 weeks" and will post complaint intake forms on the city website once the documents are finalized. He reminded members that staff will help with agenda preparation, meeting notices and scheduling to reduce quorum problems.
The board agreed to a tentative standing meeting time of the last Tuesday of each month; staff will cancel meetings when there is no business. A motion to adjourn was made, seconded, and the meeting concluded at 6:47 p.m.
Sorrell said staff will also work with the law director and the deputy chief to refine decision criteria the law director will use to recommend whether a CCRB hearing should be scheduled.
