Grant denied for Nelson Drain No. 28; board advances right-of-way negotiations for Bridge 55

Board engineer Andrew Smith informed the board that Commissioner Goehring denied the district's Agriculture Infrastructure Grant application because a project can have only $1,250,000 total in the Roadway & Bridge Improvements category and that amount had been awarded previously to Riverview ND, LLP – Herberg Dairy.
Smith also reported the purchase agreement with Susan Bell for the right-of-way needed at Bridge 55 is being negotiated; the township has executed the three-party agreement with the Board and provided a fully executed copy to Secretary-Treasurer Jessica Spaeth for processing. The board noted the grant denial and will continue negotiations and planning for the Bridge 55 acquisition.
