Commissioners approve storm-damage abatement and authorize AG opinion request

Traill County Commissioners approved an abatement for Randy Knudson, whose property sustained damage during the June 2025 storms, after County Tax Director Kayla Knudson recommended the request as fair (the township had denied the prior request). The motion to approve the abatement was carried during the March 17 meeting.
The commission also authorized Tax Director Knudson to have State's Attorney Charlie Stock submit a request for an Attorney General's opinion to obtain guidance by June; on motion of Commissioner Eblen and seconded by Commissioner Young, that authorization carried.
